Many viewers of yesterday’s Golden Globe Awards felt incredibly ripped off when James Franco savagely shut down Tommy Wiseau from speaking during his winning speech. Sure, it was Franco’s speech – but what would Tommy have said, godnabbit?

Thankfully we can sleep easy tonight. In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, the actor/filmmaker/writer/living genius managed to reveal what he wanted to say before he was cut off by Franco. It’s strangely familiar and 100 percent peak-Tommy. Speaking to the report he said,

“If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live,”

Those familiar with Wiseau’s cult classic ‘The Room’ will know this is an actual line stolen from the infamous film. Of course it is.

It’s a classic Wiseau-ism from the film, that’s spawned countless hilarious quotes. But it is actually pretty damn fitting for this year’s awards, which celebrated women standing up for equality and against abuse in Hollywood.

However, Tommy did manage to sneak in a quick plug for The Room in the meantime, he continued,

“See The Room, have fun, and enjoy life. The American Dream is alive, and it’s real.”

Never change, Tommy. Who knows why Franco didn’t let this majestic man of shitty cinema speak?! In the words of Johnny, I suspect he’s just a no good chicken.
