Hilary Duff Wouldn’t Say No To A ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot & This Needs To 100% Happen
Hilary Duff has had a big week of announcements: Firstly she announced she’s preggers with her second child AND she also said that she’s not totally against a Lizzie McGuire reboot.
Yes, that is a lot to take in at once. But we’re mainly here to talk about the whole Lizzie thang.
Speaking with BuzzFeed, the entertainer said she wasn’t against seeing where Lizzie is now.
“Honestly, the idea sounded terrible two years ago when reboots were happening, but you never know. I loved Lizzie McGuire and it might be really fun to see where she is now,” Hilary said.
I mean, that’s as good as a yes to me.
The Lizzie McGuire Movie celebrated its 15th anniversary earlier this year (I KNOW, I KNOW, WHAT THE HELL). Just to refresh your memories, after a dramatic trip to Italy and dealing with all that Paolo BS, Lizzie and Gordo shared a sneaky kiss.
What could the future look like 15 years later for Lizzie? Would she be a world-famous pop star? Would she and Gordo have made the distance? Would Paolo and his terrible voice pop up from nowhere just to cameo in a reboot? God, I hope so.
Obviously, for now, Hilary is a little busy with a bub on the way and, of course, with her role as Kelsey Peters in hit series Younger.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t dream.
